Carrabelle Beach RV Resort

I can’t say enough about our stay at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort. It quickly became one of our favorite spots!

First off, location—wow. It’s right across the street from the beach, but honestly, it felt like we were right on it. Just a quick 2-minute walk, and the crosswalk light changes automatically with the push of a button. Super quick, safe and easy!

The sunsets and sunrises were stunning, and the water was perfect for kayaking, swimming, or just relaxing. The sand was soft and clean, and the beach stretched on—ideal for getting our morning steps in. There are covered picnic areas right on the beach, but since we were so close, we usually just wandered back to our camper for lunch.

As for the campground itself? Impeccable. It’s beautifully maintained, spotless, and has a calm, and friendly atmosphere. The heated pool gave serious resort vibes—great for doing laps or simply lounging.

This place is a 100/10 recommendation if you’re visiting this area of Florida.

One of the highlights of our stay was grabbing breakfast at Carrabelle Junction. Their ultimate bagel was absolutely delicious—loaded and satisfying—and the fresh orange juice was the perfect Florida touch. It’s a cute little spot with retro diner vibes and friendly service. Totally worth a stop!

The surrounding area is just as magical. Take a drive to Alligator Point (about 20–25 minutes). It is full of sights—birds, dolphins, and tons of seashells. One of the trip highlights was Alligator Point around 10:30 AM. We watched dolphins come within 5 feet of the shore to feed. It was breathtaking and something I’ll never forget.

Food & Entertainment
• Carrabelle Junction – Don’t miss the ultimate bagel and fresh OJ! A perfect morning fuel-up.
• Fathoms is the go-to for casual food and local entertainment. They often have live music or karaoke (we caught karaoke on a Thursday!). The steam pot was salty but flavorful—perfect for sharing. The shrimp tacos and quesadillas got rave reviews from the rest of the family.

Don’t Miss: St. George Island

Make the 20-minute drive to St. George Island. The white sandy beach, laid-back vibe, and beach bar are hard to beat. Grab a piña colada at The Blue Parrot, shop for souvenirs, and just soak in the peaceful island atmosphere.

Rainy Day Fun: Apalachicola

If you get an overcast day, don’t worry—head to Apalachicola. The downtown area is full of charming boutiques where you’ll find everything from handmade art to cute tops, earrings, and sweatshirts. Don’t forget to grab an Oyster City brew and shrimp po’ boy while you’re there.
