Louisville South KOA Holiday
Sweet Stop Off the Road
This KOA was exactly what we needed—an easy, no-stress place to land after a day on the road. It’s conveniently located, simple to get in and out of, and the staff truly went above and beyond. We were greeted with freshly baked warm chocolate chip cookies, which instantly made us feel welcome.
The campground store was modestly stocked—nothing fancy—but when I asked about hydrocortisone cream (thanks to my husband being eaten alive by no-see-ums in Florida), the staff kindly offered some from their employee first aid kit. Seriously appreciated.
We didn’t use the amenities, but the facilities were clean and well-maintained. The campground itself had a pleasant, family-friendly vibe—lots of kids and dogs, which made it feel lively and cozy, even on a rainy night.
We ordered delivery from Bearno’s Italian, and it was a win. Fresh, fast, and brought right to our site. The chicken parmesan pasta and chef salad hit the spot and made for the perfect dinner tucked inside our trailer while it poured outside.

💡 Tips & Hints:
• Ask if you need something: The staff really are there to help, even if it’s something small like first aid items.
• Bearno’s Italian delivers right to your site – great for tired or rainy travel days.
• Perfect for a one-night stop or even a short stay—easy in and out for travelers on the move.
• Not the cheapest option compared to boondocking, but for peace of mind and clean, secure facilities while we learn camper life, KOA continues to be worth it.
